Hi Rajesh,

Not sure about technical errors like lost wifi. I think you’d ask Certiport about that.

When you first pay for the exam, they give you the option to take it once (around $100 when I registered) or to take it again (around $130, I believe). I’ve been using Excel for years and didn’t anticipate failing / needing to re-take it, so I didn’t pay extra for the “just in case I fail” reassurance.

Hi ann,

I want to know that if any technical error happens in exam like lost wifi networks then exam will dismiss or what? And if i fail in exam then to attend another exam should i paid full amount 100 dollor?

Good questions!

1. I don’t think there’s a limitation on the number of mouse clicks. I haven’t read that anywhere. If you find out differently, let me know!

2. Shortcut keys are optional. They’re shortcuts, after all. There are dozens of Excel shortcuts, but in real life, I only use the same ~5 over and over.

3. I think so?

Check out Certiport’s website though — they’re in the middle of a website revision and they’re adding lots of new info about the exams. And the exams are changing/being updated!

Best of luck on your exam. You can always re-take it if you don’t pass the first time.

Hi Ann,
Your article was detailed enough to give an idea about the exam, which was not available anywhere else. Thank you for that. However, I had few queries regarding the exam –
1. Is there any limitation on the number of mouse clicks during the duration of the exam?
2. Do we have to know all the shortcut keys by heart?
3. Is the official Microsoft publication on MOS 200 and MOS 201 sufficient for clearing the exam?
